4 CYLINDER HIT TO PASS RULES


All drivers must be at least 16 years of age. All competitors under 19 years and under require parents’ consent. No one under the age of 14 is allowed in the pits. 

Vehicles must be operated in a safe manner at all times. 

The appearance of your vehicle is up to you.  You are not required to paint it, although several people are doing just that.  Lettering, graphics, decals, etc. are up to you.  However, pictures, wording, etc. should not be offensive and will not be tolerated.  "Cute" nicknames, slogans, artwork are encouraged. 

If any driver or his/her crew member is determined to be under the influence of an intoxicating agent of any kind, his/her vehicle will not compete for the duration of the event.  Any driver or pit crew member found on or around the track pit area with an intoxicant will forfeit winnings and points from that event, and will be suspended. 

If you build or add anything that exceeds the spirit of these rules, you will be required to remove it. This is solely at the tech inspector’s discretion. If you don’t, you will not be allowed to run, and may be sent home with no refund of any entrance fees paid for any car or crew.

Drivers

  • Driving suit or flame retardant coveralls mandatory (Must have tag or label stating they are flame retardant or something to that effect).  Approved helmets, driving gloves and racing neck brace mandatory. Helmet must have approved visors or driver must wear safety glasses or goggles.
  • Eligibility minimum age 14 years of age.
  • 18 years old and younger needs parental consent form signed by both gaurdians.

Car

  • No convertibles, Canadian or American domestic vehicles only.
  • All glass and upholstery, side chrome (except front seat) must be removed.
  • No Camber Allowed.
  • Wheels/Tires Must be stock, snow tires are OK.
  • No chains, studded tires or hubcaps.

Safety

  • All cars will be teched. Any car that officials deem not complying with rules or unsafe will be cut from the program until the problem is FIXED.
  • Cage Must have 2” pipe (maximum outside diameter).
  • 2 bars up, 1 bar across, behind driver, with a 6” square plate welded on each end. 4 - 3/8” bolts and big washers in each end.
  • No limit to roll cage safety.
  • Must pad steering wheel, B pillar, top of inside driver’s door, any sharp edges or bars within reach of the driver.
  • Must have 1 1/2” bar (outside diameter) running through the drivers door.
  • Reinforcement Concrete in drivers door(full to top)mandatory.
  • Front hoop allowed (maximum 2” outside diameter).
  • All cars must have a minimum of one (1) windshield bar installed from top to bottom, evenly spaced, attached securely and be a minimum of ¼”x 1” steel. The bar may be placed on the outside of the windshield.
  • Window net on the driver’s side window mandatory. This net must be removable and an approved safety window net. (No homemade window nets.)
  • Fuel Cell Can remain in stock location if the gas tank is plastic and is in front of rear axle.
  • A skid plate must be secured between the fuel tank and track.
  • If gas tank is behind rear axle, it must be removed and a fuel cell must be used.
  • If fuel cell is used, it must be securely mounted with firewall between fuel cell and driver.
  • No fuel lines inside of the vehicle except the tank connections. No plastic connections / fittings, or filters allowed.  Must use stock steel fuel line in stock location. If the vehicle has fuel injection, it must have a master kill switch that kills all electronics (including electric fuel pump).  If not sure, consult Tech inspector.
  • Battery Must be relocated inside the driver’s compartment, securely fastened and covered in rubber.
  • All cars must have a fully charged chemical fire extinguisher, of at least 2.5 pounds, mounted securely within the driver’s reach. This extinguisher must be mounted on a metal bracket (extinguishers can not be taped to roll bars).
  • No plastic or fibreglass racing seats.
  • Racing belts required, minimum 4 point harness.
  • All doors, hood and trunk lids must be chained, bolted, pinned or welded.
  • All chrome, glass, mirrors and exterior plastics must be removed.
  • All cars must be presentable.
  • Numbers must be on the doors and roof.
  • All suspension components, including bolts, must remain factory size, in factory location.
